Looking All Golden With NARS’ Taj Mahal Blush

When people think of higher end make-up, MAC always comes to mind! Not

Bobbi Brown, Iman Cosmetics, Fashion Fair, Laura Mercier, Estee Lauder or Benefit. It really irks me because there are so many other great make-up brands out there! NARS is most definitely one of them on my list.
If you don’t know about NARS’ blushes, then you’ll know now! Their blushes are legendary just because of their daring, highly pigmented colours. You’ve got your bright pinks, brownish-pinks, berries, purples and even orange! That’s where the Taj Mahal shade comes in. In it’s palette, it has a deep, burnt orange look to it but don’t be intimidated by its brightness though because blended in, it’ll give your skin an incredibly warm, golden glow. You definitely won’t be looking like an oompa loompa! NARS blushes are highly pigmented so the colour is a lot more intense meaning it’ll stay for longer and only the tiniest amount of blush is necessary. Put too much on and you may end up looking like crazy!

This shade will only really suit ladies with warm undertones to their skin. If you’ve got cool undertones, it may make you look sickly so it’s best to keep away from Taj

Mahal. Eva Longoria’s wearing Taj Mahal in July’s issue of InStyle and I must say that she’s glowing! People ranging from Eva Longoria’s skin colour to Paula Patton to Anika Noni Rose can rock this shade!

Don’t just use Taj Mahal on your cheeks though! You can use it on your eyes too. If you’re daring enough, just sweep a bit onto your lids to make your eyes pop. This will usually work best on brown eyes. If you can’t imagine wearing orange eyeshadow, try a modern smokey look with Taj Mahal.

You can find NARS in any department store. If not, check out NARS’ website.
