A Stain to Suit Women of Colour
I avoid lip and cheek stains at all costs as they’re never intense enough for the colour to come out on my skin. The fist I came across was Benefits Benetint which worked okay on my cheeks but like many black women, my upper lip is a dark brown and the bottom a pink so when I used it on my lips, it only highlighted the difference in colour even more.
My opinion towards stains has been the same since the Benetint incident but after coming across the Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip & Cheek Stain in Forever Pink in my JolieBox, I was adamant that it would never show up my skin tone considering the bright pink. I was soon proven wrong as the stain’s colour deepens depending on ones skintone, mood and heat so it can either go from a subtle pink to an almost fuschia. This is good news for Jamaicans, Sri Lankans, Somalis, Egyptians or wherever the in world you’re from as I can safely say that this will show up on your skin. You can all rejoice now!
