There’s nothing that gets me more excited about summer beauty than the bronzed and golden make-up but many people just assume it’s lighter skinned people who enjoy a golden hue to their skin but, that simply just isn’t true. I guess I could say that I have a tan all year round but even the darkest of skin can lack the sun’s golden touch and in that case, bronzers are a brown girls best friend.

Whether the bronzer is matte or has a shimmer to it, it’ll still look fabulous on darker skin but I personally think that when worn properly, shimmery bronzer gives the skin a look that just cannot be matched.

Apply the blushes that’d suit to you most to the skin tone that you match the closest. Many of these blushes can be worn regardless of skin tone; a good example is NARS’ Casino. Another bronzer that looks great on most skin tones is the Soleil Tan De Chanel (it may be too light for very dark skin). E.l.f’s Essential Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Warm Tan works well on light to medium toned skin and can be used as a highlighter on darker skin.
