No Lipsticks This Summer..
I love lipsticks but, I’ll take a coloured lip balm any day and this hot Saudi Arabian weather is just making me appreciate lip gloss and coloured balms a whole lot more. The temperature can get up to 47 degrees so I have no time for fussy make-up; just quickly apply a little stain, gloss or balm and I’m good to go.
A few of the lip products I’ve been using lately:
Sleek Pout Polish in Perfect Plum – I’m not a huge fan of Sleek but, when I like a product of theirs, believe me when I say that I will like it! This smells divine (like caramel!), glides on perfectly and you can build up the intensity of the colour pretty easily too all whilst keeping your lips moisturised!
NARS Larger Than Life Lip Gloss in Norma (not pictured) – Ever since I saw this woman wearing a red lip gloss, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect red lip gloss and I’ve most definitely found it in Norma. I got my hands on this when it first came to the UK and I’ve been wearing it constantly ever since. The Larger Than Life lip glosses are very different to other NARS lip glosses as they’re not as sticky, there’s a new brush and they don’t go off as quickly as the usual glosses do.
Pixi Glow Tinker Bell Magic Tink Tint Lip Gloss* – Be amazed at the magic of the transformation of your lips when you wear this. It first starts off as a clear colour, then develops into a beautiful pink and it gets deeper depending on the pigments in your lips. Not only does it give a beautiful, natural looking pink to my lips but it smells minty fresh!
Carmex Moisture Plus SPF 15 Hydrating Lip Balm* – Carmex are heavyweights in the lip care industry so it’s only right that they brought out a coloured lip product. Not only are my lips super soft when I wear this, but it’s got a sheer colour to it which is perfect for those off-duty ‘can’t be bothered days’ or going to the gym. I love Sheer Peach and Sheer Pink.
Jelly Pong Pong Irish Cream Pavlova Lip Frosting (not pictured)* – I got this in the most recent GLOSSYBOX so I’ve not had it for too long but it’s already become one of my favourite lip products. It’s a pretty, glossy pink with a slight frost to it and it smells so incredibly good.
Jelly Pong Pong Petal Pink Lip Gloss (not pictured) – This comes in the prettiest packaging but it’s what’s inside that’s the real winner. This is yet another frosted lip colour from Jelly Pong Pong and despite my hate for frosted lip products, it’s only Jelly Pong Pong products that make me manage to carry them off.
