Bath time is the time to indulge yourself and live like a queen for as long as you like. If I were to let you in my bathroom cabinet of bath and body products, you’d be very confused at the large amounts of bath oils, cremes and elixirs I’ve amassed over the years but how I always manage to mix up potions of my own to use in the bath. Some of my experiments haven’t quite gone to plan but, many have worked a treat and this little potion I’ve mixed up with coconut oil, coconut milk and honey is one of those!
My recipe is very lenient in terms of quantity however, in order for the coconut milk to fully mix with the water you’ll need an emulsifier and you must use equal parts emulsifier and oil. Also, if stored in a bottle, mak sure you use it all up within 3 days as as there’s coconut milk and honey in there which may go off.
YOU WILL NEED
25% coconut oil
25% Polysorbate 20
40% coconut milk
10% honey (if you can, make sure it’s as runny as possible)
DIRECTIONS
Mix the oil and emulsifier properly until they’ve fully immersed into each other.
Add the coconut milk.
Add the honey.
Fully stir or shake the mix.
Dim the lights, light a few candles (I’ll be lighting up my Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey Candle!), scatter some roses and just lay back in the bath and relax!
