The Body Shop Spa Wisdom Africa Ximenia & Salt Scrub

I’m not a huge fan of The Body Shop’s body scrubs as they barely exfoliate anything at all and I like a body scrub that actually does something but their Spa Wisdom Africa Ximenia & Salt Scrub is truly nothing like what The Body Shop has brought to the table. Where the usual Body Shop scrubs are quite hard to work with as the exfoliants just slip off my skin and fall into the shower, the Fair Trade shea butter in this scrub provides a little grip so you get a better exfoliation as well as moisturised skin when you wash it off. What I’ve also found I love about the scrub is that the salt is fine so you can really get to working it into your skin like you should. There’s nothing more I hate about a scrub that it to have huge exfoliating granules!

What interests me about the scrub is this arguably unknown oil, ximenia oil. I’d never heard of ximenia oil before trying the scrub but after doing a little digging around, I’ve found that the oil comes from the kernals of the sour plum and as well as being a great skin conditioner, it’s also wonderful for the hair and scalp.

This is actually the only body scrub I own! I’m new into the skincare field :-) however, I don’t think I’m using it correctly. I bought the gloves from the body shop and after I wet my skin in the shower I put some of it and start working it into the different body areas then wash it off. Am i supposed to keep it longer? I scrub until my hand gets tired. I’ guess I’ve stopped using it because I haven’t seen any results..

You’re doing it right, but take it easy on your hands lol!
