As I type this I’m running my fingers through my hair. Why? Because it feels oh so soft and manageable thanks to a few new products I’ve been using from new haircare line Touché by Flavien, by celebrity hairdresser extraordinaire Flavien Abbas who’s worked magic on the locks of Charlotte Church, Andy MacDowell, Marion Cotillard and Catherine Deneuve.
Flavien has worked in a number of world renowned salons in destinations I can only dream of like Nice on the Cote d’Azur, Naïm in Knightsbridge and Michaeljohn, Mayfair both in London. He’s now Senior Artistic Director at Harrods’ Urban Retreat and as well as his current position, Flavien‘s embarked on a new phase in his career by creating a range of six luxury products. The first thing that makes Touché by Flavien stand out amongst other haircare brands is that the products are centered on scalp type which is barely even touched upon by other brands. Secondly, it’s only the best ingredients in the Touché by Flavien products; rare prickly pear oil (it takes one million seeds and 36 hours to make just one litre!), argan oil, sesame oil, cashmere, keratin and goji berry with the scent of jasmine (my absolute favourite fragrance) thrown in for good measure. It’s a line that just screams decadence, luxury and expertise especially with its sleek, sophisticated packaging. With Flavien’s vast experience it’s fair to say that I’d definitely trust him to create a wonderful line of products for my hair. I always prefer brands with experts like Flavien simply because he knows exactly what women like because of years of working with hair. Touché by Flavien was also created with a leading bio-chemist in Champagne, France just in case you wanted a little more expertise there!
The products I tried from the Touché by Flavien line were the Prickly Pear Shampoo* for dry scalp, Prickly Pear Moisturising Repair Conditioner* and Intensive Nourishing Treatment*. I love each and every . Usually I have no clue about what to say with shampoos, all they do is clean your scalp so what else is there to say? However, the Prickly Pear Shampoo is incredibly gentle on the scalp and my hair didn’t feel stripped of moisture unlike many other shampoos that my hair’s had the misfortune of trying. The Intensive Nourishing Treatment is the star of the entire line with hydrolyzed silk protein, shea butter and goji berry extract. I’ll tell you now that I haven’t washed my hair in a few days yet my hair is still ridiculously shiny, soft and there’s not a single bit of frizz in sight however for £68, I’ll just bring it out for those special occasions and instead use the Prickly Pear Moisturising Repair Conditioner when I’m not treating my hair.
Not all of us have a celebrity hairdresser on speed dial so Touché by Flavien comes very close!
