Ask anyone whether they’ve lost someone to breast cancer and I’m sure the majority will say yes which is frightening to say the least. Cancer has become that commonplace and we can’t ignore it any longer so Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a month that I’m welcoming with open arms.
I’m often a little skeptical about brand collaborations with charities as it often benefits the brand more than the charity, however these global brands have consumers all over the world so when they highlight a charity or cause, they’re raising awareness and making people aware of a situation that they may not have known about. With breast cancer, the more companies stepping in the better!
Many of my favourite beauty brands are bringing out products where they’ll be donating some of the sales to charities that are researching and raising awareness about breast cancer. The first product being the Pearl Drops Instant Beauty*, a super brightening tooth paste that’s pink! At the launch event for Beauty Sleep, facialist to the Hollywood stars Nuz Shugaa told me that she gives this to her celebrity clients and noticed a difference in her teeth in just two days which I did too! Pearl Drops claim that Instant Beauty will give you visibly whiter teeth in just one week, which I actually doubted but it’s such a sure fire way to whiten and brighten your gnashers before a special event.
Not only are you going to get whiter teeth with Instant Beauty, the money you spend goes towards helping Pearl Drops raising £50,000 to donate to one of three pre-selected charities. All you have to do is get your hands on the Instant Beauty for just £3.99 and vote for the charity you’d like to donate the £50,000 to which you can do here.
Some other products that’ll get you beautiful and charitable at the same:
Clinique Limited Edition ‘Pink With a Purpose’ Chubby Stick in Plumped Up Pink £16
My favourite coloured lip balms with shea and mango butter have a new sister called Plumped Up Pink and she’s a good girl because she’s giving away £2 from every purchase to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. She also comes witth a cute little makeup bag that has a heart-shaped charm with the pink ribbon.
Bliss Breast Cancer Care Gloves £36
These aren’t your average gloves at all, nope! These gloves have a gel lining with olive, grapeseed and Vitamin E oils to leave your mitts as soft as a baby’s hand (erm I totally made that up). Bliss are donating £5,000 to Breast Cancer Care so go and help them!
GLOSSYBOX October 2012 £12.95
The weather is wet and gloomy where your socks get soaked when you accidentally step into puddles, and the fact that Octobers GLOSSYBOX* comes with everything you need to cheer yourself up with a lovely night in is fantastic! Products in this months box include Anatomicals Don’t Just Clean It Woman, Scrub It Body Scrub, Yves Rocher France Instant Anti-Wrinkle Moisturiser – Hydra Vegetal, Skinetica Anti-Blemish, The Organic Pharmacy Enzyme Peel Mask With Vitamin C & Papaya, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure, Dr. Jart Premium Beauty Balm, Yves Rocher Moisturising Cream Lipstick – Couleurs Nature, Derma Cleanstart 3 Step Day and Night Kit, Green People Organic Self Tan and Olay Regenerist 3-Point Treatment Cream Fragrance Free. Money will be donated to Breast Cancer Care.
Nails Inc. Pinkie Pink Polish £11
Popular nail brand Nails Inc. are donating £1 from every sale to Breast Cancer Campaign which may seem small but I can imagine a lot of ladies buying this so it’ll all add up in the end. I was first introduced to the nail polish by the Lisa Eldridge (who is amazing, kind and sweet x19 3487352683 btw!) and I now love the idea of painting your pinkie pink with Nails Inc.
