I pretty much get excited about every new skincare brand or product launch but it takes that little something to make me a loyal fan and Gunjeoir’s art deco packaging and luxury ingredients make it a stand out brand for me. Its founder Sophia Fannon-Howell, a scientist with a love for cosmetics and beautiful packaging created Gunjeoir after becoming aware of the chemicals in the products she was using.

The star of the line of products is the Neroli Face Elixir*. I just recently spent a week flying between London, Istanbul and Saudi Arabia so you can imagine the impact the frequent flying would have on my skin but it didn’t react as badly as I thought it would. I always land to my destination with angry, dry skin with a bout of cystic pimples but my skin couldn’t be further than usual reality; supple, soft, hydrated and glowing so it’s a surefire keeper. The elixir is made with an anti-aging blend of vitamin E and essential oils, including neroli, rose otto and jasmine. The fact that it smells divine and you feel it sinking into your skin after massaging it in makes it the perfect thing to use in the evening or finish off an at-home facial. Talking of at-home facials, the Palmarosa Exfoliating Balm* comes in handy as both a cleanser and exfoliator. The balmy consistency and grainy exfoliators apricot and bamboo powder work together perfectly as it leaves your skin not only smooth but quite moisturised too thanks to the avocado oil, shea butter, beragmot, virgin coconut oil and palmarosa oil.
