Virginity Soap? Pigs Can Most Certainly Fly..

Yes. Virginity soap. What does it even do? Give you your virginity back? I have no clue!

I found this in a small shop yesterday and just had to take a snap of this and show you ladies. I couldn’t stop laughing when I saw this soap but there’s more of a sinister message to this..

Lately I’ve been coming across products for the intimate area that promise to lighten, tighten and everything between but do we really need it? Cosmetics brands are always bringing out new products to deal with ‘problems’ we never even noticed before and once you get a product that claims to give you a bum like Jennifer Lopez, every woman then realises that she doesn’t have the perfect bottom. So sad. And now with these products out, I just don’t want women thinking that they need to fix downstairs too. They really don’t need to.

Also, don’t get me started on the virginity part. I’m not sure what this brand claims their soap can do but if it’s something along the lines of it reversing time then a massive, epic fail on their behalf!

Finding this soap actually coincides with an article I was reading a few hours earlier on a new cream in India called, what for it… 18 Again! It claims to make you ‘feel like a virgin again’ by tightening you up. Absolutely ridiculous but then again, many brands feed off the insecurities of women and in India a woman who isn’t a virgin isn’t usually deemed to be marriage material so what better way than to use 18 Again to win your in-laws over? Take a look at the video and prepare to die of embarrassment:

I hope this trend doesn’t find its way to the UK but with FemFresh‘s recent vomit and cringe inducing advertising campaign where they called used words like Va Jay Jay, Froo Froo and Nooni to label the obvious, it seems like every brand wants to tell us something. I just can’t..

What do you ladies think? Is this necessary and can you foresee a trend here?

How I Brought Morocco to my London Bathroom!

I’ve already thanked God for Morocco producing argan oil but another wonderful invention is the Moroccan hammam. Visiting a hammam and getting yourself scrubbed until your skin’s as smooth as a baby are one of the finer luxuries in life and if you’re in London, chances are you’ll have to cough up a lot of money for the treatment but for just £3.95 and however much you pay for your water bill, you can bring a hammam all the way from the hot climes of Morocco to good old Blighty thanks to LUSH’s Glorious Mud!

The LUSH Glorious Mud is a good old block of rhassoul clay, vanilla, sesame oil, sweet orange and aloe vera to soften the skin. When I’m using this, I’ll have a shower or bath with seriously warm water to get the bathroom all steamy and allow the steam to penetrate into the skin. Then, I just run the Glorious Mud under the tap for only a few seconds and just rub it all over the skin including my face a circular motion until it’s well covered. I’ll just sit around for 10 minutes until the mask’s dried and then rinse off. The magical part is when you wash it off, your skin has this smoothness to it and a very subtle vanilla and orange scent!

How Cute Are These Dove Minis?

Lately everyone’s been off to festivals, flying to exotic locations like Dubai or Miami or staycationing but wherever you’re going, it’s nice to make sure you’ve got your bath and body classics nearby and that’s why Dove‘s created their hand luggage friendly kit* of  their classic products in mini form. For just £5.99, the kit contains all of the Dove classics like the Dove Original Anti-Perspirant Deodorant in 35ml, Triple Moisturising Beauty Care Body Wash in 55ml, Rich Moisturising Creme in 30ml and Intensive Repair Shampoo and Conditioner in 50ml.

I’m going to be travelling quite a lot this summer and where a lot of my baggage allowance is thanks to the amount of beauty products I carry, it’ll be great to just take this with me when I’m away for the week or a weekend.

Weleda’s Mini Body Washes

It’s July so that it’s means travelling time which I absolutely loathe. I love to be in other cities and explore the sites however, flying and driving around for hours drains the life out of me and it’s experience that leaves me looking uglier (I’m being serious; breakouts and dull skin galore!). However, there are few things that keep me satisfied whilst travelling like the selection of movies on planes, the deserts, blankets and mini beauty products!

It’s Weleda’s 90th birthday and to celebrate, they’ve released the cutest, most colourful set of mini body washes* perfect for travelling containing five of their best selling body washes in 20ml bottles. The body washes are both cleansing due to a coconut and sugar base and hydrating with rich sesame oil. Not to mention that the ingredients in the washes are organic too.

There’s wild rose with musk rose oil, pomegranate with sandalwood, davana and neroli essential oils, citrus with lemon and orange oil, lavender and sea buckthorn. I think of them each as being for a particular mood. If I’m feeling a little perky it’s citrus I’ll reach out for and if I want to unwind, then I’ll be using the lavender body wash.

My first stop for my summer travels will be to Saudi Arabia and the transits are infamously long and last for an average of 5-6 hours but, sometimes you get the opportunity to have a quick shower and freshen up so these body washes are perfect to just pop one out of your hand luggage to use. At least they’ll make my travels a little more exciting!
