I’m aware that it’s March and the sun is up and shining so there’s no need for such a dark lipstick but who cares? It’s one of my favourite lipsticks because it’s so deep, wicked and dark. It’s a similar lipstick to the one Mary J Blige wore in her Not Gon’ Cry music video and I always wanted a lipstick like it! As much as I love this lipstick, I’d love it even more if it didn’t have so much of a sheen, it needs to be toned down a little.

L’OREAL’S GLAM SHINE CREAM IN SENSUAL GRENADINE

My love for this lipstick started many years ago when my mum bought this back with her after spending some time in Dubai and I’ve been hooked since. I can’t find it in London so I have to either find it in the Middle East or online which is a shame as I’d love for L’Oreal to stock it here.

It’s a rich, moisturising, creamy lipstick with full on colour. The shade is a plum with red/brown undertones and after a while, the lipstick does wear off but leaves a subtle reddish plum. It also smells really good, I can’t quite put my finger on what it smells of though.

Sleek are my heroes this month with this blush palette. Unfortunately their blush palettes are limited edition so I got my hands on another two but this palette is perfect for spring and summer. From left to right order, Molten is a shimmery peach shade, Bonfire a bright, matte red shade is my favourite out of the trio and then there’s Furnace, a coral with a gold shimmer to it. Perfect!

LAVERA BASIC SENSITIV HANDCREME

I have a crazy collection of hand creams so I wasn’t too excited to receive this in last months JolieBox but after giving a try, I really like it. I tend to like my hand creams on the thick side (hence why the Body Shop’s Hemp Hand Protector is my favourite hand cream) but this one is a lot lighter and melts into your hands in no time. It might be light but the shea butter, jojoba and sweet almond oils make it a rich cream that left my hands moisturised for hours upon hours. By the way, please excuse Charlie who took it upon himself to sit right behind the hand cream whilst I was taking a photo of it!

TAAJ AYURVEDA PURIFYING AND REVITALIZING MAKE-UP REMOVER

Another great product from last months JolieBox! I wrote a review on it not too long ago but my love for it is still strong. Eyeshadow, waterproof make-up and mascara don’t stand a chance with this micellar water and in just one swipe, my make-up’s gone! Yet again, don’t mind the attention seeking but cute cat.

Product of the Month | Sleek Makeup’s Blush By 3 Palette in Pink Spirit

sleek Product of the Month | Sleek Makeups Blush By 3 Palette in Pink Spirit

Sleek Makeup’s taken every make-up lover by storm lately with their Blush By 3 palettes; almost every single Superdrug I’ve gone to in order to get my hands on this palette, it’s been snapped away by another beauty junkie but after Asma offered to help find it, I’m ever so grateful to her because I’m in looooveeee with Pink Spirit!!

Pink blushers aren’t really my thing, I tend to go for reddish, brown, orange shades but after laying eyes on Pink Spirit I made sure I had to get it and now I’ll definitely be venturing more into the world of pink blushers. As usual, Sleek offers extremely high quality blushes for a bargain of £9.99. I have a taste for expensive blushes and I don’t even want to discuss how much I’ve spent on blushes alone but Pink Spirit honestly rivals the likes of NARS, MAC and Illamasqua. They’re smooth, matte, glide incredibly well and the lasting power is next to none and I’ve found it to stay for roughly 6 hours which is quite an accomplishment considering my oily skin.

Starting from top to bottom, we have Pink Parfait, Pink Ice and Pinktini. The two end blushes are quite similar but the one that scared me was Pink Ice; I can deal with the other two but this one definitely had me worrying about whether I’d be able to pull it off and surprisingly I did but only with the gentlest of hands otherwise you’ll look like you just came out of a slap fest!
