Product of the Month | Sleek Makeup’s Blush By 3 Palette in Pink Spirit

Sleek Makeup’s taken every make-up lover by storm lately with their Blush By 3 palettes; almost every single Superdrug I’ve gone to in order to get my hands on this palette, it’s been snapped away by another beauty junkie but after Asma offered to help find it, I’m ever so grateful to her because I’m in looooveeee with Pink Spirit!!

Pink blushers aren’t really my thing, I tend to go for reddish, brown, orange shades but after laying eyes on Pink Spirit I made sure I had to get it and now I’ll definitely be venturing more into the world of pink blushers. As usual, Sleek offers extremely high quality blushes for a bargain of £9.99. I have a taste for expensive blushes and I don’t even want to discuss how much I’ve spent on blushes alone but Pink Spirit honestly rivals the likes of NARS, MAC and Illamasqua. They’re smooth, matte, glide incredibly well and the lasting power is next to none and I’ve found it to stay for roughly 6 hours which is quite an accomplishment considering my oily skin.

Starting from top to bottom, we have Pink Parfait, Pink Ice and Pinktini. The two end blushes are quite similar but the one that scared me was Pink Ice; I can deal with the other two but this one definitely had me worrying about whether I’d be able to pull it off and surprisingly I did but only with the gentlest of hands otherwise you’ll look like you just came out of a slap fest!

Sleek Molten Metal Steel & Ash Duo Swatches

We’ve got a lovely guest post from Hafsah (nice name!) who blogs at Esoteric Sips. I love how she analyses books so well on her blog, I feel like I’m back in English class which is a good thing because English was my favourite subject in school. If you’re a bookworm like I am, definitely check out Hafsah’s blog for good recommendations :)

Sleek MakeUp has just released the second duo in their Molten Metal collection. They are intensely pigmented cream eyeshadows, very much like Illamasqua’s Liquid Metal cream eyeshadows, which can be worn alone as eyeshadows or worn as a base under powder eyeshadows.

The gold duo made an appearance earlier this year, and although I bought it and liked it enough – I cannot explain how beautiful the new silver duo is!

Left: Steel, Right: Ash

The swatches were achieved with just one gentle swipe each. The pigmentation is brilliant. How gorgeous is that Ash colour? Used together with Steel on the lid and Ash in the crease, these two colours would make for an amazing smokey eye for a sultry evening look.

The texture is extremely smooth and creamy, and they both blend really well. I haven’t worn these eyeshadows on my eyes yet, so I can’t really say much about the wear or creasing. But like most cream eyeshadows, they’re pretty likely to crease so I would use them sparingly, especially in the crease area. Personally I would use them as a base to make my other eyeshadows pop, rather than wear them alone.

The Molten Metal duo is available for £6.99 on the Sleek website or in Superdrug in the UK.
