October's Beauty Box!

October’s Beauty Box!

Yo ladies, after a looooongggg day at uni yesterday, I looked at my post and saw a nice, sleek, black box with goodies inside! I remember telling you a while ago about ordering feelunique.com’s Beauty Box. It’s a monthly box full of sample goodies for £9.95. I’ve seen many boxes like this around from Glossy Box and others but, after doing my homework, I thought that I may as well go with feelunique.com’s Beauty Box and after being sent one for the first time yesterday, I’m a little confused as to whether I like it or not.

What’s in the box:

Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash:

This wash smells gorgeous and fruity but, I’m not really a fan though. It’s a 2-in-1 exfoliating wash containing rose-hip, milk thistle, passion flower and chamomile. I’m not sure if this wash is exfoliating because I didn’t feel anything. Right after I washed my face last night, my face felt quite dry whereas the other washes that I’ve used have never left my skin like that. This morning when I woke up, I had flaky skin and dry patches and I was not a happy bunny.

TIGI Catwalk Sleek Mystique Straight Collection Blow Out Balm:

This is apparently a blow out in a bottle so TIGI are making some big claims here. TIGI’s products are amazing so I’m expecting this balm to be so too but, as I haven’t used it yet, I’ll have to wait. I’ll try it tonight but from what I can see, the texture is light and it smells so good; it’s quite citrusy. It contains dragon fruit, lychee bamboo and honey suckle extracts; I have no idea what affect these products have on hair but, I’ll let you know through my Twitter and Facebook as to how this balm works.

Crabtree & Evelyn India Hicks Island Living Spider Lily Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy:

I’m a sucker for hand cream, especially now that it’s colder (finally got colder in London!). I was actually thinking of going to The Body Shop and getting my usual Hemp Hand Protector yesterday but, luckily, this hand cream was in the Beauty Box. Everything that’s in the Beauty Box smells divine and this hand cream contains my best friend Shea Butter and macadamia nut oil. It’s left my hands sooo smooth and moisturised.

Orly Nail Lacquer in Velvet Rope:

I’m not impressed with this nail polish at all. Orly is a good nail polish brand but, this nail polish just screams cheap nail polish for a 12 year old girl. It’s a metallic purple with the most annoying silver glitter in the world. I’d never buy it.

Caudalie Vinexpert Radiance Day Fluid SPF10:

I’ve never tried Caudalie and I’ve heard great things about the brand so I was quite happy to see this cream. It’s a firming, protective and anti-wrinkle cream and I just laughed when I read the description. I’ve got another 10 years until I need this stuff but, I gave it a try and it left my skin quite glowy and pretty. Like it but, it’s not for me.

Burberry Body:

I love this perfume, it reminds me of my mother because it’s the type of perfume that she’d go for. It’s described as a fruity composition that begins with notes of fresh green absinthe, peach and freesia. Roses and iris are in the heart, leaning on the base of sandalwood, cashmerean, musk, amber and vanilla. It’s got a slight Arab feel to it which is probably because of the sandalwood, amber and musk.

So far, I’m not really in love with the products except Burberry Body, I feel as though feelunique.com has totally dismissed my skin concerns and age after telling them by giving me a drying face wash and an anti-ageing cream when I don’t need them at all. I won’t cement my opinion as of yet though, I’ll wait for next months one but, after this disappointing box,  I ordered the Glossy Box after seeing amazing reviews and hopefully they’ll be a lot better.
