Weekend Reads | Gettin’ Scrubby With It!
Exfoliation is an absolute must for me and I’ll use them nearly everyday, or if not then a body glove will do the trick. Whether a scrub is homemade in my kitchen or a luxury sugar polish from my favourite spa, I’m interested! The other day I stocked up on 3 body scrubs which were practically the same which goes to show just how obsessed I am with scrubbing.
If I had the chance, I’d actually buy body scrubs in wholesale quantities considering just how much I use them!
With September here, it means that scarves, boots and coats will be brought out again and our feet will once again get neglected only for us to care about them next summer but that habit needs to be changed and looking after our feet starts off with great exfoliation. This DIY scrub with yoghurt which contains lactic acid will exfoliate away the dead skin leaving you with smoother, soft feet.
I have a huge variety of scrubs sitting on my bathroom shelf; some I’ve made and some I’ve purchased but which do I prefer?Probably at home for something quick but if I want to relax and pamper myself I’ll go for a store bought scrub.
This scrub is one of the best that I’ve made, and that’s how one lovely reader felt too when she told me that she loved it so much that she made more and put it into little tubs for her friends and colleagues!
This is the perfect scrub for those mornings you’re feeling a little tired and need something to wake you up. The scrub contains jojoba, evening primrose, patchouli, rose, lemongrass, rosemary and lime oils which blend to create an invigorating fragrance!
These are two body scrubs which I love, especially the mango scented scrub from Boots which as well as it doing a great job of exfoliating the skin, it also contains Free Trade shea butter.
Chemical exfoliants in my opinion work so much better than physical exfoliants (usual body/face scrubs) but a lot of you ladies are confused about where to start with chemical exfoliants and this post explains it so succinctly.
