So we’re in March which is insane considering it was only January a week ago, but it’s a new month for new beauty discoveries and last month I found some amazing products that I have to tell you all about:
Mavala Nail Polish in Moscow* – First of all, I love the cute and teeny weeny bottles Mavala nail polishes come in (5ml to be exact), but what I love even more is the classic red Moscow. It’s such a timeless colour that would look perfect on casual short nails or on a formal night out.
Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief *- I’ve used this before and after long haul flights to prevent my skin from drying out which it usually doesn’t do. However, my skin’s been so dry and flaky as of late and no amount of exfoliation would work. I’ve been using products with glycolic acid, facial oils and the Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief to get my skin back to normal and it’s worked a treat!
Burberry Sheer Luminous Compact Foundation* – I’m not sure why I haven’t talked about my love for Burberry cosmetics but their Lip Mist in Copper* is one of my favourite nude lipsticks of all time, and I’m not even a fan of nude lipsticks so that’s saying something! Moving on to the Sheer Luminous Compact Foundation, I don’t even know where to begin. My skin is covered in marks and slight hyperpigmentation from breakouts in the past but just a dab of concealer over the marks and a dusting of the powder is enough to cover everything. It gives me instant confidence whereas before I couldn’t even dream of not wearing something high in coverage. It also smells gorgeous too; like powdery roses.
Becca Ultimate Colour Gloss in Hummingbird – This is actually bittersweet; I discovered this gorgeous berry coloured lip gloss in February but Becca will no longer be available in the UK anymore. Anyone have any other alternatives?
Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush* – There’s a rule: every blush junkie must have at least one Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush in their makeup stash. It’s an absolute must! The unique liquid formula makes it easy to apply with the Daniel Sandler Waterbrush*, a stippling brush or your fingers. After applying, it sets perfectly and is pretty much budge-proof. I have quite a few shades, but my favourite is Spicey.
Archipelago Caramel Soy Candle – Okay, so this isn’t quite beauty but it’s the things that I do whilst it’s flickering in the background that count, right? I light it when I’m in the bath, doing a DIY facial, getting ready.. pretty much everything beauty related. The scent of the candle either makes me want to stuff my face with toffee and caramel or satisfies my cravings. Also, the scent fills your room even when it’s not lit.
Vichy Idealia Smoothing & Illuminating Cream* – I like my moisturisers simple – no fussy ingredients whatsoever and that’s why I like this moisturiser from Vichy for combination skin. It’s uncomplicated in its nature, but it’s quite effective at helping to treat dullness and uneven skin texture as it’s enriched with kombucha, a powerful tea extract. It also contains Vichy Thermal Spa Water like all of their other products!
