The Products My Hair’s Rating Right Now #2

IMG_9954So last year I was telling you about the hair products I’d been loving, but I’ve managed to cram in a million and one products to try between a year since. However, lately I’ve been smitten with a few products:

Curl Harmony Curl Reviver* and Intensive Repair Deep Conditioner* – I usually prefer to skip conditioner and go for hair masks when washing my hair simply because I feel that they pack more of a punch in the moisture game. The Intensive Repair Deep Conditioner most definitely lives up to ‘intense’ alright; it’s super thick and filled with shea butter, coconut butter and jojoba oil so you can expect your hair to feel less damaged and dry after a few uses. It hasn’t been on my shower rack for long, and I’m already almost half way through finishing it so I’ll be practicing restraint and try to use up neglected bottles of conditioner before I’m forced to buy another! I follow the mask up with the Curl Harmony Curl Reviver and let the hair dry naturally. Avocado Butter, kokum butter and coconut butter will have frizz sorted out in no time, but this doesn’t even begin to rival the Intensive Repair Deep Conditioner.

Dove Intensive Repair Overnight Treatment – What I love about travelling are the different products you can find from the usual brands and Dove has some interesting products in the Middle East including this overnight hair treatment. The water in Saudi Arabia is hard so it can sometimes leave the hair feeling quite brittle so I popped this into my shopping trolley without a second thought when I saw this sitting on the shelf at Carrefour. By using this in the evening after washing your hair, you wake up to hair that’s lighter in weight, softer and a lot easier to manage. I consider it to be an overnight deep conditioning treatment without all the wrapping your head with a shower cap and risking getting gooey hair mask all over your pillow in the middle of the night!

Moroccanoil Intense Curl Cream* – I’ve had my eye on this for a very long time, but it wasn’t until a visit to the Errol Douglas Salon in Belgravia that I was introduced to this wonderful product that is the Moroccanoil Intense Curl Cream. Apply a tiny coin sized amount all over damp hair, and once it’s all dried say hello to bouncy, loose and shiny curls. Errol is the UK and Ireland’s ambassador for the brand and his salon also stocks the stuff so if you’re in need then you know where to go.

Aussie Dual Personality Anti Frizz + Conditioning Milk – I don’t really know what to say about this. Before I wrote this I was in love, now I’m not so sure. Confusing I know, but it’s up to you to make your own mind up about the Aussie Dual Personality Anti Frizz + Conditioning Milk! This bottle of confusion contains Australian sea-kelp, I’m not sure what it does exactly, but after trying this for the first time I was impressed at how frizz-free my locks were. But a while afterwards it left my hair feeling limp and a bit meh. Definitely not rating this now!
