Budget Beauty | Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me
The frenzy surrounding the Maybelline Baby Lips has been absolutely insane, I doubt I need to introduce you. But just in case you aren’t acquainted, say hello to super moisturising tinted lip balm goodness. According to Maybelline the Baby Lips are said to leave lips 82% visibly less dry, 94% less rough, 77% more supple, and 77% better looking after just four weeks of use. Now, I’m a statistic sceptic but I think Maybelline are telling the truth, and that’s probably down to a lip softening blend of shea butter, centalla and SPF 20 to protect.
Although I love lipstick, I don’t like to wear it during the day as it feels a bit much unless the formula is light and sheer. However I do love my colour, and Cherry Me doesn’t disappoint as it’s a sheer wash of deep pink. Cherry Me is for those not brave enough to venture into the waters of the big bold lip just yet – sheer yet packs the right amount of punch. And the good thing is that you can ditch the lip balm at home as Baby Lips are ridiculously moisturising.
I paid just 15 SAR for Cherry Me which comes to about £2.62. It’s definitely a budget buy, but slightly cheaper than £2.99 which is what Baby Lips will go for in the UK when they’re available in August. Brits have been waiting for what seems like an eternity for the Baby Lips, but good things come to those who wait. They also say that the best things in life are free, but at £2.99, let’s just say that the best things in life are almost free too..
