The YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks are very quickly becoming my favourite lipsticks ever. The rich creaminess, high pigment and stunning packaging are enough to make me giddy at the knees. Spring and summer is all about corals and pretty pinks so I decided to pull out a stash of the Rouge Volupte and show you ladies just how spot on YSL have got the trend.
I love how YSL cater to all skin tones and there’s a vast amount of shades ranging from deep browns and purples to subtle roses and they often look great on everybody, so I’m sure these lipsticks will look superb on all of you ladies whether you’ve got caramel toned skin or a complexion like alabaster.
In left to right order we have Peach Passion, Fetish Pink, Rose Paris and Extreme Coral. Each and every shade will have you celebrating the warm weather (it’s been quite gloomy here in London for the past few days, so if you’re enjoying the sun then I want you to know how much I dislike you right now…) and Extreme Coral is a nod to the colour of the year which is Tangerine Tango. It’s nowhere near the other orange lipsticks I’ve attempted to play around with including MAC’s Morange which is quite chalky and hard to apply. The Rouge Volupte is shockingly moisturising for such a highly pigmented lipstick.
